10 on 10: june edition

new to 10 on 10? it's 10 photographers from across the US that capture 10 photographs in a day of their lives and post on the 10th of each month. We link to each other's posts to complete a circle. We have some FABULOUS talent in our circle so make sure to drop by and check them out.

Last month we were at Disneyland (check back here to see the May 10 on 10 post).

This month I decided to do another run-of-the-mill day. It happened to be Early Bird's last day of preschool.

after dropping Early Bird off I grabbed a quick breakfast down the street.

and then met this sweet guy as I was leaving.

time to pick up Early Bird but not before I pass by our favorite toy shop.

back home and after a nap we do a little painting outside.

making some dinner.

while we wait on dinner we get our basket of books out.

dinner is ready with baked zuchinni chips. (she wasn't a fan but mom was!)

time for the moon to rise and say good night. Taken from my desk (and about 3200 iso).

please head over to the very talented Lisa Turner and catch her June 10 on 10 edition.

10 on 10: may edition

new to 10 on 10? here's the break down: ten photographers from around the u.s. post 10 photographs on the 10th of every month. we link to each other's posts completing a circle.

see here for last month's 10 on 10: april edition

a few weeks ago we went to disneyland for the first time. k & i had never been but dad had. he had been looking forward to this trip since k was born, plus he's turning the big 4-0 soon so it was also a birthday treat.

We decided to drive down since it's only about a 6 hour drive. this was our first big road trip and i wasn't sure how k would do in the car that long. we packed a bunch of snacks, colors, books, etc. and hit the road bright and early. (by the way, she did GREAT!)

we finally made it to our hotel, which happened to have a great view of the park next to disney, california great adventure (which, by the way, was equally as fun as disney).

next up was checking the pool out & the awesome slide

today was the big day. we had to put our best dress on and sunglasses to accessorize.

we headed our way to disney

and finally into the park.

and waited patiently to enter the castle (which looks WAY smaller in person.)

someone waited VERY patiently for her turn to talk to minnie

and to end our trip on a fun note.... a mickey mouse sucker.

i have soooo many more to share but unfortunately i've hit my 10 photos :( we really did have a blast and can't wait to go back and enjoy new memories.

Next up, the fabulous Ami Parrish's 10 on 10. Check it out here. Make sure to leave some blog love on hers.

10 on 10: april edition

It's our April edition of 10 on 10.

Wondering what 10 on 10 is? Ten photographers from around the U.S. post 10 photographs on the 10th of each month. We link to each other's posts to complete a circle.

This past month I didn't have anything special going on. Our days were pretty mundane. Since I did post 10 photographs from one of our days in the February edition (see here) I needed to change it up a bit this time around.

This month I chose 10 photographs over the past month to showcase. Again, not very exciting but they are some of the highlights from our past thirty days.
I hope you enjoy!

ummm.... love waking up and making our special donuts. Found the recipe on Pinterest and now I have such a hard time eating the donuts from the donut shop.

this day we were headed to church.

first time counting her saved up money

special spring/easter/birthday cake for grandma p. I had "help" putting the candles on top.

the aftermath

working on some easter eggs.

these have become our new bath toys each night. Meet Blond Jenna, Brunette Jenna, Red Dress Jenna, and Ponytail Jenna. (BTW - I did not come up with the original names. A certain 3 year old did.)

Breath in.... breath out.

10 on 10: February edition

We're back for another round of 10 on 10.

New to 10 on 10? Ten talented photographers from across the country posts 10 of their favorite photos from either a day in their life or something that's significant to them on the 10th day of every month. We link to each other's posts, completing a circle.

(If you missed January's edition of 10 on 10 check back here.)

This month I chose to take an ordinary day and chronicle it. No train rides, no beach days, just a run of the mill day. And aren't those days the days that make up our years sometimes? It's good to have those special days but in the end it's also good to have a routine (and this momma loooooves routines!)

My coveted morning shower!

The hubs getting his fancy breakfast

 Time for some errands
(and I had no idea I had so much dust collected on the screen. I swear in the car it doesn't look that bad!)

 Swim class time!

And all by herself!

Back from swim class and the never ending pile of shoes.

Nap time is the best time of day!

The hubs working hard

After a good nap and doing a little beading with her friend

And to end the post with my favorite catch-all bag.

Because isn't it the truth?!

10 on 10: january 2012 edition

So excited to start off the New Year with a 10 on 10!

New to 10 on 10? Here's the rundown: 10 FABULOUS photographers from around the country posting 10 of their favorite photos on the 10th day of each month.

This month I chose to document a date that my daughter and I went on.
We took the train from downtown San Jose to Sunnyvale. Granted, in the car it's only about a 20 minute drive but taking the train for a 2 year old is pure excitement. Especially when it's your first time on a train. We frequently see the commuter trains and we talk about them and even read about them (Anybody heard of Thomas the Train?) but to actually RIDE one?! Too much fun not to document.

time to board

off to find our train

getting settled in our seats. Hey Katheryn, How does a train sound? "Chooo chooo!"

and we're off

stopping for a bite to eat.

exploring a little bit of downtown area before boarding. loved this red door and the fact that it was a great book store!

releasing a bit of energy

waiting to board for the return trip home.

back on board and on the way home! What a fun day.

Now, head on over to Kimberlee Edwards' 10 on 10. Make sure to leave some blog love on hers. We always love to hear what people think.
